Counselling & Psychotherapy in Warrington and Online Across the UK

Safe and confidential space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard

Welcome to Therapy with Emma

I'm a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, working from my own private premises in a calm, confidential setting. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel heard and understood.

My approach to counselling is both person-centred and integrative, which means I place you, the client, at the heart of the process, while also drawing on a range of therapeutic theories and techniques to best suit your individual needs. I believe that no one size fits all, and I tailor our work together to what feels most helpful and meaningful for you.

Compassionate Therapy for Real Change

I work with adults, including professionals and neurodivergent clients, and have a particular interest in supporting those navigating the pressures of work, life, and relationships. With a background in the corporate world, I bring many years of experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting people through times of change and challenge. I understand first-hand the impact that stress, burnout, and imbalance can have on our wellbeing.

I’m especially skilled in helping clients manage anxiety, stress, grief, and loss, and I welcome you to reach out if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of someone to talk to.

Areas of Special Focus in Counselling & Psychotherapy

Work-Related Stress & Burnout

Helping my clients to set boundaries, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves outside their professional identity.

Life Transitions

I am supporting clients through big changes like parenthood, divorce, career shifts, or midlife challenges.

ADHD and Neurodivergence

I understand and have lived experience that helps me to relate to neurodivergent clients. Working together, we can adapt sessions, using creative approaches and flexing the approach to our sessions.

What Issues Can Therapy Help With?

Clients come to me for many different reasons. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through therapy:

Feeling anxious or low

Struggling with a difficult relationship

Experiencing a loss

Feeling stuck or disconnected

Whatever brings you here, we can work together to make sense of it.

My own journey through the ups and downs of life and seeing the power of being truly heard inspired me to become a counsellor. I’m passionate about creating a space where people feel safe enough to explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Therapy in a Safe, Comfortable and Private Setting

In our sessions, I’ll offer a supportive and collaborative space where we can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. I won’t rush or push you, and I’ll always respect your unique experience. Together, we can build a greater sense of clarity, self-understanding, and confidence to make meaningful changes.

“Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.”

Nido Qubein

"Owning your story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do."

Brené Brown

"Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it."

Tori Amos
